WILL THERE BE STILL ARCHITECTS IN THE FUTURE ;)
The BuildingFutures Institute (RIBA) published an interesting report on the future of the Architects´profession. It goes pretty well along with my arguments for OpenSimSim in the TEDxTalk in Berlin (see here). The report reveals some interesting and striking facts about trends that can already express themselves today:
The demand for architectural services dropped from 2008 until today by 80%.
55% of the global construction will happen in emerging markets by 2020.
Have a look at the full report or a summary at the building-futures website.
